Rostec State Corporation and the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation are expanding the high-tech prosthetic center network that will be available for rehabilitation of SMO veterans. Construction of a CITO branch has started in Kemerovo. The center will make high-functional prosthetic products, including microprocessor-based ones. This is Russia’s sixth center opening of which is planned for 2026.
The High-Tech Prosthetic Center will be opened on the basis of a rehabilitation center that is constructed in Kemerovo. Thus, a unique comprehensive rehabilitation system will be established to produce high-functional lower and upper limb prostheses and to promptly adapt the products to the patients.
The Center will also offer sports prostheses. Patients will be able to go snowboarding and downhill skiing at Sheregesh ski resort. Products will be created by Rostec’s Trauma and Orthopaedics Innovation Center.
Rostec’s Orthopaedic Innovative Technology Center (CITO) is one of Russian leading medical and rehabilitation industry facilities. The full-cycle production facility manufactures more than 500 medical trauma and orthopaedic product items. Modern process equipment is used to manufacture steel and alloy, ceramic and composite products, including products with functional coatings.
