Kalashnikov Concern, a member of the Rostec State Corporation, expects to complete the purchase of 100% interest in Shipyard of Brothers Nobel LLC, the largest ship-building yard on the Upper Volga, in the first quarter of 2018.
Production capacities of the shipyard are located on the territory of more than 200 thousand square metres and allow to build marine and river vessels up to 140 m long, 17 m wide and launching weight of up to 2,700 tons. The enterprise is capable of performing the entire cycle of vessels' building, repair and maintenance operations.
Kalashnikov Concern dynamically develops the civil production area and strengthens its competences not only ashore, but also in the air and on the water. "Shipyard of Brothers Nobel is our third asset in the marine cluster that will ensure the development of small and medium-sized harvesting vessels, as well as towing vessels and special-purpose vessels", commented Alexey Krivoruchko, General Director of Concern Kalashnikov.
It should be recalled that during the past two years Kalashnikov has purchased shares in ship-building companies Rybinsk Shipyard and Vympel Shipyard. Today, the companies are fully engaged with orders and successfully implement the existing contracts under the state defence order and MTC.

Shipyard of Brothers Nobel was established in 1907 under the management of Nobel brothers. Today, the shipyard is the largest ship-building enterprise on the Upper Volga. Territory of Shipyard of Brothers Nobel LLC is more than 214 thousand square metres, including 100 thousand occupied by well-equipped production workshops. Staff count is more than 500 employees. Favourable location of the enterprise (with gates to the Baltic, Black and Caspian seas) allows to deliver the built vessels to the customers in any part of the world within the shortest time possible.
