Under the order of the Moscow City Transport Agency, Kalashnikov Concern has produced 30 Izh Pulsar electric motorcycles and 4 Ovum electric cars to be used during the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia.

"Izh Pulsar and Ovum are Russian developments distinguished by easiness of use, reduced noise level, cost-efficiency and low maintenance requirements. We are proud that these vehicles will become part of the logistics for the police at such high-profile event as FIFA World Cup," noted Vladimir Dmitriev, Deputy CEO of Kalashnikov.

Ovum electric car has modular design allowing to change the number of passenger seats depending on the needs of municipal services. High degree of production nationalisation enabled the use of Russian-made components. The electric car is characterised by high travelling comfort and low fire and explosion hazard in case of accident.

Izh Pulsar electric motorcycle consumes 10 kW-h of electric power when being charged. Operation of an electric motorcycle is, in average, 12 times cheaper in terms of fuel expenses as compared to gasoline-powered motorcycles. Pursuant to the Regulations No. 41 of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe, its noise level is 75 dB, i.e. below the maximum allowed limit. Simplicity of operation is ensured by the lack of transmission and clutch. The electric motorcycle does not harm the natural resources due to the lack of any exhaust gas emissions to air. The design of the motorcycle enables installation of additional equipment depending on the needs of municipal services.
