KAMAZ and Erfurt Educational Center Teaming Up

The largest Russian truck manufacturer KAMAZ and the Erfurt Education Center (EBZ) have concluded an agreement on education-centered cooperation.

The agreement was signed in Erfurt, Germany at a Tatarstan-Thuringia working group meeting chaired by Albert Karimov, Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Industry and Trade and Wolfgang Tiefensee, Thuringia Minister for Economic Affairs, Science and Digital Society. The document was undersigned by Alexander Ushenin, KAMAZ PJSC Deputy General Director for Human Resources Management and Organization Development, and Frank Belkner, Erfurt Educational Center General Manager.

KAMAZ Multifunctional Applied Mechanical Engineering Workmanship Center, V.D. Potashov Technical College and EBZ have agreed to cooperate in training KAMAZ production personnel in most advanced and called for professions. In addition, the parties will cooperate in staff competency assessment as well as in teaching staff training including methodological didactic equipment in accordance with German standards and advanced technologies. It is expected that the cooperation program will be instrumental for the Multifunctional for Applied Mechanical Workmanship Center and V.D. Potashov Technical College to attain a level abreast with German standards.

During the working visit, a delegation from Tatarstan visited the Erfurt Educational Center to acquaint themselves with the way educational processes and work-study classes are handled. It is worth noting that this center was set up by an association of companies that have been providing innovative services in engineering and industrial education in Thuringia and elsewhere since 1990.
