Rostec has Demonstrated a Fifth Generation Combat Radio Set for the First Time Abroad

Ruselectronics holding has showcased the R-176-1АЕ fifth generation radio set for the first time at the MILEX-2023 exhibition in Minsk. This is one of the key subsystems of the latest mobile long-distance radio communications center for high military command level.

R-176-1АЕ two-channel medium-power radio set ensures HF/VHF radio communications between connection control stations and higher-level control stations. The equipment ensures automatic establishment and maintenance of minimally-manned radio communication sessions. The new product facilitates operation in all traditional types of modulation – amplitude (AM), frequency (FM) and phase (PM) modulation.

“The fifth generation radio set currently demonstrated by Ruselectronics in Minsk differs from the previous generation equipment by a higher anti-interference level, increased data transfer rate and batch file transmission support with guaranteed delivery. The radio set may be used both as part of field radio communications centers and independently. The radio equipment coverage at standstill is up to 2000km and in motion is 300km,” said Rostec’s representatives.

The product uses state-of-the-art SDR technology (Software Defined Radio). A software-defined platform provides regular software update with addition of new functions and enhancement throughout the product life cycle.
