Rostec has Increased the Integrated Circuit Component Production

Obninsk Research and Production Enterprise Technologiya named after A.G. Romashin has increased the output of the key component of film integrated circuits for electronic equipment – Sitall substrates – by almost a factor of three. Significant growth in the output of these products will help the Russian electronics industry to cover the demand for import-substituting products.

Sitalls are high-strength materials produced by means of mass devitrification. Sitall substrates are intended for integrated circuits and various types of electronic devices. These are the substrates on which integrated circuit tracks are mounted, therefore the quality of such substrates directly influences the service life of electronic devices.

Purity of working surfaces is the key property of Sitall substrates. ORPE Technologiya’s products have high degree of purity – Rz-0.024. The State Corporation is ready to manufacture substrates meeting even more stringent requirements in terms of working surface quality, if required. The existing manufacturing capacity ensures the output of up to 100,000 substrates a year.

“Specifications of our Sitall substrates – surface purity, strength, thermal conductivity, etc. – exceed the standard requirements. The contracted scope of supply of our products for the current year shows that Russian electronics manufacturers are extensively switching to Russian-made hardware components. Over the first six months, ORPE Technologiya has produced about 20,000 such products. This is more than twice as many than over the same period of the previous year,” said Andrey Silkin, General Director, ORPE Technologiya.
