Rostec has Shipped a Batch of the BMP-2M Berezhok to the Army

High-Precision Systems holding has sent another batch of upgraded BMP-2M fighting vehicles with Berezhok weapon station to the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

The BMP-2M with the Berezhok weapon station has been designed by Tula-based Instrument Design Bureau (KBP). This system is used to kill not only enemy personnel, but also fortifications and armored vehicles, including tanks.

The Berezhok weapon station includes the 30mm 2A42 automatic cannon, 7.62mm PKTM machine gun, 30mm AG-30M automatic grenade launcher as well as two Kornet anti-tank guided missile launchers with two missiles per each. Fire capabilities allow to engage targets within up to 8 km and all currently existing tanks and fighting vehicles.

“The BMP-2M and Berezhok system has demonstrated its high performance in the special military operation zone. The military who extensively use the fighting vehicles by day and night appreciate their high fire power and mobility,” commented Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Conventional Weapons, Ammunition and Special Chemicals Cluster of Rostec. “Successive performance of contracts speaks in favor of the manufacturing system efficiency at High-Precision System companies as well as high qualification and dedication of the personnel. Today, they, like all defence companies’ personnel, work two or three shifts six days a week.”
