Rostec’s Equipment will Improve the Data Exchange Quality on Ships and Onshore Facilities

Ruselectronics holding has launched commercial production of high-speed multichannel data communication components. The equipment is designed for operation on surface ships and onshore facilities owned by law enforcement agencies. Unlike the existing equipment, the new system ensures interference and intelligence immunity on the 24/7 basis.

The high-speed multichannel data communication equipment rack (Neptun-VMSPD ER) developed by Neptun Research and Development Institute ensures formation of adaptive antijam short-wave band radio links. Thanks to single equipment rack layout, the system ensures simultaneous operation of up to eight receiving and up to four transmitting independent channels. The engineering solutions used in the system enable quick adaptation to changing conditions.

Neptun-VMSPD ER ensures digital data receipt and transmission, including data streaming, at rates up to 19.2 kbps per channel. Data rate is increased due to simultaneous use up to four independent channel.

“Provision of reliable radio communications for ships and onshore facilities is the key aspect of a safety system. Neptun engineers have developed a solution that enables a wide range of different types of transmitting-and-receiving devices to be combined in a single equipment rack. At this point, there is no equipment with similar specifications on the market. Commercial products are already delivered to customers,” said Sergey Pomazunov, Interim General Director of Neptun Research and Development Institute.
