Ruselectronics holding, Rostec State Corporation, supplied heat-resistant digital surveillance systems to one of the largest heat power plants in Siberia – Krasnoyarsk HPP-1. Such equipment is installed in steam boiler chamber furnaces where flame fuel combustion takes place at 1400-1600 °С. A digital video camera withstands extreme thermal load and performs continuous real-time monitoring.

Stable operation of the chamber is ensured by reliable protection that includes a dual-circuit water cooled enclosure. To prevent optics exposure to dust and flame, the space in front of the protective glass of the lens is blown with compressed air. In case of emergency, light and sound alarms are initiated and the camera is removed from the high temperature zone automatically.

“Power-generating facilities are classified as critical infrastructure where all processes shall be controlled continuously. Ruselectronics’ special equipment can function at the very “heart” of HPP – steam boiler chamber furnace where the temperature can reach 1600 °С. Traditional surveillance equipment cannot be used here, however monitoring shall be carried out. Failure to find flare malfunctions in due time may result in an accident and loss of heat power plant performance,” said Oleg Evtushenko, Rostec’s Executive Director.
