Ruselectronics has Started Production of Compact Satellite Communications Terminals

Ruselectronics holding has started deliveries of compact satellite terminals for field broadband communications. The equipment is designed for operation at extreme temperatures, high wind loads, while can be placed in an ordinary backpack.

A new radio station developed by Vigstar Research and Production Center, Ruselectronics holding, ensures a data rate from 2 to 4 Mbps via a satellite link. The total weight of the product depending on modification is from 5 to 10 kg, demountable antenna diameter is 55 cm, and the radio station can be deployed within maximum 2 minutes. The equipment can be operated in the temperature range from -45 to +55 °С and withstands heavy windstorm with a wind speed up to 30 m/s.

The solution is easy to adjust and is a flexible platform compatible with a wide range of modem equipment. Due to replaceable feeds, the radio station may be used in Ku-, Ka- and Q/Ka frequency ranges.

The product is integrated in mobile communications nodes for operation in emergency conditions (emergency local communications center). Systems on the basis of KAMAZ specialized off-road vehicle are made by Ruselectronics’ Ryazan Radiozavod and supplied to the EMERCOM of Russia.
