The Rosoboronexport company of the Rostec State Corporation took part in the reception of ambassadors and military attachés of foreign countries dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the creation of the system for military-technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with foreign states.
The Main Engineering Directorate, established in 1953 under the Ministry of Internal and External Trade by order of the Council of Ministers of the USSR is considered to be the founder of the Soviet (Russian) military-technical system for cooperation with foreign countries. Throughout the whole period of its existence the system has been constantly developing and improving, coming to fruition in its present form at the beginning of the XXI century.
"Rosoboronexport" acts as the successor of fine traditions and huge experience of military-technical cooperation of our country with foreign states. Russia's partners know that modern Russian weapons allow them to safely protect their national sovereignty. At the same time, today more than 1 million people work at the enterprises of Russian defense industry to implement about 1,000 active contracts of Rosoboronexport with foreign customers of Russian armaments and military equipment from more than 70 states”, said Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosoboronexport.
Today, the MTC system of Russia with foreign countries is a well-established mechanism that takes into account the numerous nuances and subtleties of foreign trade activity. All the components of this system, including "Rosoboronexport", work as harmoniously as possible, and the president of Russia acts as the guarantor of its perfect functioning.

In 2017, more than 400 foreign delegations from 70 countries located in all the regions of the world worked in Russia through Rosoboronexport.
