The latest products of the Kalashnikov Concern of the Rostec State Corporation: AK-12, AK-200 and AK-205 were demonstrated in the course of the Victory Parade, held on May 9. The parade was the first public demonstration of these machine guns on service.

Note that the AK-12 began entering the army in 2018. It should gradually replace the AK-74. The weapon was developed in the framework of the “Ratnik” (i.e. Warrior) program as an element of a promising set of equipment for soldiers of the Armed Forces of Russia.

AK-12 is equipped with a magazine clip for 30 rounds and can do up to 700 rounds per minute. At the same time, it weighs 3.5 kg with an empty magazine, and the weapon length in a combat position reaches 880-940 mm. AK-200 and AK-205 are a part of the "two hundred series" Kalashnikov assault rifles.

New machine guns have retained all the advantages of the traditional AK scheme: reliability, durability and ease of maintenance.

Integration into the machine gun design of the Picatinny rail allows installation of the required equipment for the effective use of weapons in various conditions, including in conditions of limited visibility.

The length-adjustable butt of the machine gun and a number of ergonomic solutions for optimizing controls allow users to realize to the fullest extent their shooting skills, regardless of anthropometric measurements and the availability of a variety of equipment, equipment and clothing.

The AK-200 series has successfully passed the tests program, meets all the requirements for modern portable firearms, and is an effective shooting complex.
