High-Precision Systems holding has delivered the advanced Zubr air target killing systems to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. They cover important facilities by engaging low-altitude small targets. The systems detect air threats on their own and send target designation commands to munitions, or can be used as part of a joint antidrone defense-in-depth system.

The Zubr is designed for operation at a close-in line of defense where the rate of response to unmanned aerial vehicles and loitering munitions appearing in the lower sky layer is of particular importance.

“High-Precision Systems’ solution is fitted with all necessary equipment for detection and automatic tracking of drones of any size on a 24/7 basis. After air target acquisition, the Zubr covers the target with a dense fire barrage. As a consequence, enemy drones have almost no chance at last lines of defense where the system comes in. Performance of the Zubr is proved by its combat use history and constantly growing number of killed real targets,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of the Weapons Cluster of Rostec, member of the Board of the Russian Mechanical Engineers Union.

The Zubr can be both used independently and integrated into a joint counter-drone architecture, thus building a multitier air defense system. The system also serves as the last line of covering fire for large systems, in particular, for the Pantsyr, with which it forms a single air defense network.

Moreover, the solution has good field maintainability and is rapidly deployable. This is especially crucial for a system that shall be in constant combat readiness, including at remote and poorly equipped sites.
