Russian Helicopters holding, Rostec State Corporation, has sent another batch of Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters to operators under the contract with State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK). Fifteen helicopters made by Kazan Aircraft Factory were sent to the regions of Russia. According to the contractual commitments, a total of 86 helicopters from the Mi-8 family are to be supplied to various airlines.

The Mi-171А2 supplied under the current contract with GTLK are equipped with additional external fuel tanks to increase the flight range. The cabins have 22 seats. The rotorcraft has been upgraded for installation of a 300 kg cargo jib with rescue hoist.

Russian regional airlines are among the operators. Most helicopters will be used in adverse climatic conditions in Siberia, Far East and Far North.

Mi-8MTV-1 utility helicopters have unique flight and service performance. They may be used almost in any climatic conditions in a wide temperature range (from –50°C to +50°C). Helicopter design and equipment are intended to perform flights from autonomous noninstrument pads.
