Russian Helicopters holding included in Rostec State Corporation has delivered another batch of the Mi-8MTV-1 to Kamchatka and Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The helicopters were made by Kazan Helicopter Plant under the contract with State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK).
The helicopters are available with two additional external fuel tanks with a total capacity of 1 830 l. This provides an increased flight range — up to 1 050 km without refueling. This is particularly important for regions that have long-distance routes.
The Mi-8MTV-1 utility helicopters have unique flight and service performance. For example, they can fly in virtually any climatic conditions at temperatures from −50° to +50°. The helicopters are also capable of flying from autonomous noninstrument pads.
The vehicles may be equipped with medical modules to perform medical flights. In addition, the 8th has improved lighting for flights in low visibility conditions.
The Mi-8MTV-1 are made by Kazan Helicopter Plant. Continuous work on improvement of these helicopters is underway.
