Ruselectronics holding has made a batch of telemetry systems for underwater robotic systems. The equipment allows drones to detect mines and other items at a depth of several hundred meters, including under a sludge layer. The system may be also used as a guidance unit for bomb disposal.
The equipment includes a number of wide-angle and high-resolution video cameras, lanterns and a control unit. An advanced technology is embedded into the software to avoid image smearing with increasing drone speed.
The telemetry system can be used by the underwater drone operator to control grasping of the detected mines and other hazardous items. In case when a mine shall be disposed of on site, one of the cameras placed on the bottom of the robot may be used as a guidance unit.
The new detection system is designed for mine countermeasures vessels. The system includes a mobile underwater vehicle — a controlled drone directly used for mine hunting, detection, classification and identification. The vehicle can perform its tasks when the swell of sea reaches degree 3 at a large distance from the carrier vessel. It has high speed performance that varies depending on the operating conditions.
