United Engine Corporation will produce five GPA-16 gas compressor units with a total power of 80 MW for installation at the Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok gas pipeline compressor stations. The equipment as part of the first interregional gas transport system in the eastern part of Russia will be used for gas transportation from the Sakhalin continental shelf to users.
UEC’s GPA-16 gas compressor unit has been already installed at the main gas compressor station of the Sakhalin gas pipeline. It is planned to supply two new units next year, another three ones will be delivered to the customer in 2026.
“Rostec is committed to developing energy technologies. Five new GPA-16 will increase the Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok gas pipeline compressor capacity by 80 MW. Thus, our solutions facilitate social and economic growth of the territory,” said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.
The GPA-16 16MW gas compressor units are designed on the basis of the PS-90GP2 industrial gas turbine engines made by UEC-Perm Engines.
The 1,800km-long Sakhalin — Khabarovsk — Vladivostok gas transport system is the first interregional gas transport system in the eastern part of Russia. It is designed to deliver gas produced on the Sakhalin shelf to users.
