United Engine Corporation has started introducing individual domestic software modules for aircraft engine component design ahead of schedule.
UEC together with IT companies implements two particularly important projects for the development of domestic engineering programs.
“Development of Russian software products is currently at its third stage. The project for debugging and introducing a manufacturing and supply chain control system is 55% complete. We also steadily phase out foreign PLM and CAD software products. The UEC facility in Perm is already introducing individual modules that will enable aircraft engine components to be designed from polymer composite materials using Russian programs,” pointed out Vyacheslav Khristolyubov, Director of Digital Transformation of UEC.
UEC companies have started introducing software developed by Russian company ASKON ahead of schedule. The new PLM and CAD software versions include more than 400 functional requirements of the corporation. UEC-Kuznetsov in Samara has already started developing a new PD-8V engine design project using ASKON solutions.
Together with ADEM-engineering — a foreign NC programming system is being substituted, and together with Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University — an automated commercial product tracking subsystem is being debugged and introduced into CML-Bench digital twin development and application platform.
