Rostec has Found a Way to Quickly Detect Places of Accident

Shvabe’s facility in Kazan has developed a method for instant interpretation of images made using the Earth remote-sensing aircraft system. The new technology will be able not only to identify low-observable areas from high altitudes at any time of day, but also to receive images directly during surveying. This will ensure prompt transmission of information on accidents, including missing people, peat fire and other emergency sites.

The Earth remote-sensing aircraft system is capable of thermal imaging. By providing the system with photodetectors and an automatic image interpretation module, these images may be made directly during surveying, rather than at the post-processing stage.

It is expected that after upgrading all system components will be placed in a single housing. Thus, this will be a single-piece device. The change in design will help reduce the weight, number of connectors and will make maintenance and operation easier. On the other hand, the circuit and internals will be improved to fit new dimensions.
