Rostec will Showcase a Next Generation Reconnaissance and Targeting Drone at the Innoprom

Shvabe holding will showcase a new unmanned aerial vehicle with a thermal imaging channel at the Innoprom International Exhibition in Yekaterinburg. Thanks to its compact size and jam-resistant operator communication link, the product is ideally suited for reconnaissance and targeting. Moreover, the drone may be used for civil purposes, e.g. for search of people in hard-to-reach areas.

The drone is equipped with a thermal imaging camera and can be used at any time of day as well as in fog and smoke conditions.

“BPLA-400T with a thermal imaging channel, being a little heavier than 1.5 kg, can operate on a single charge for about an hour providing stable jam-resistant operator communication. Such drones are of high demand in the special military operation zone, however, there is no doubt that the new product will be useful not only for military purposes. It will be also useful, for example, for the EMERCOM and forest protection personnel,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial Director of Weapons, Ammunition and Special Chemicals Cluster of Rostec.

In the nearest future, the BPLA-400T is to be upgraded and improved versions are to be manufactured. Now, work is carried out on the drone whose range will be mush wider than that of its predecessor, and the modification itself will be more resistant to electromagnetic warfare systems.
