Technopromexport included in Rostec State Corporation has completed integrated testing of the first HPP Udarnaya unit in Krasnodar Krai. The equipment operated for 72 hours in normal power conditions delivering electricity to the Unified Energy System of Russia. The specified characteristics were verified and the unit is to be commissioned within January.

Tirst power unit capacity is 230 MW. The total capacity of HPP Udarnaya will be 560 MW. The plant will supply electricity to the housing and utilities sector and industrial facilities in Kuban. The power units use natural gas as the primary fuel.

The plant’s generating equipment will include the first domestically built GTD-110M high-capacity gas turbine made by Rostec’s United Engine Corporation. The machine has been created to replace foreign power units. Efficiency of GTD-110M is more than 36% which is comparable with the best foreign gas turbine engines.

HPP Udarnaya is a large and complex project. The current geopolitical situation resulted in major changes, in particular, in the generating equipment configuration. Nevertheless, our manufacturers – and builders and equipment suppliers – successfully meet this challenge. We are proud of our GTTD-110M, this is the first domestic machine of its kind which is able not only to substitute similar foreign products, but also is superior to them in several key parameters,” said Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rosteс State Corporation.
