UEC Engines Enabled Cargo Delivery to ISS

RD-107А/RD-108А rocket engines produced in batches by Samara-based facility of United Engine Corporation ensured a successful launch of Soyuz-2.1a rocket with Progress MS-26 cargo spacecraft. Two and a half tons of cargo will be delivered to the International Space Station for Space Missions 70 and 71. 

Soyuz-2.1a rocket with Progress MS-26 cargo spacecraft was launched today, February 15, at 06:25 Moscow Time from a launch complex at the Baikonur Cosmodrome. UEC-Kuznetsov’s RD-107А/RD-108А rocket engines installed on launch vehicle stages I and II worked properly. 

The Progress MS-26 will deliver 2.5 t of cargo to the International Space Station, including 1.4 t of instrumentation and equipment for the station systems and scientific experiments, and clothing, food and medical supplies for Space Mission 70 and 71 crews. The cargo also included 580 kg of fuel for station refueling, 420 kg of potable water and 40 kg of nitrogen.
