RT-MedTech included in Rostec State Corporation showcases Russia’s first MR-conditional single-chamber pacemaker - Apollo MRI SR - at Bioprom International Forum. The system extends a range of domestic solutions for treatment of heart beat disorders and allows patients to undergo magnetic resonance imaging.
Apollo MRI SR made by Cardioelectronica (included in RT-MedTech) is designed for right atrial or right ventricular stimulation, while a two-chamber pacemaker provides stimulation of both cardiac chambers. This is Russia’s first single-chamber pacemaker that allows patients to undergo magnetic resonance imaging. Introduction of the device into clinical practice will offer new treatment capabilities for patients with detected heart rhythm problems. Commercial manufacturing of the product is to be launched in 2027.
At the end of the previous year, Cardioelectronica launched mass production of Russia’s first MR-conditional two-chamber pacemaker - Apollo MRI DR. At present, more than 200 devices have been delivered to Russian hospitals.
