High-Precision Systems holding has delivered a batch of the Pantsyr C anti-aircraft missile and gun systems to the customer under the state defence procurement program 2024. The vehicles have been made by Shipunov Instrument Design Bureau in Tula ahead of schedule.

“Rostec produces a wide range of military equipment, weapons and air defence systems. The Pantsyr C anti-aircraft missile and gun system — one of the most effective systems in the class — is among them. The system successfully knocks down composite stealth targets. For example, the Storm Shadow, foreign low-observable cruise missiles, and precision projectiles for multiple-launch rocket systems. The Pantsyr will easily destroy a standard target such as the F-16. Our company is currently producing the systems ahead of schedule. Moreover, Rostec continues working on creating new vehicle versions,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, member of the Board of the Russian Mechanical Engineers Union, Industrial Director of the Weapons Cluster of Rostec State Corporation.

Modifications were introduced into the Pantsyr to improve the anti-UAV, anti-projectile and anti-missile performance. Combat employment of the system has demonstrated that the previous design solutions were correct.

In August, Rostec also presented the Pantsyr-SMD-E system, a new Pantsyr version, at the Army-2024 International Military and Technical Forum. It is designed to protect industrial and administrative facilities against mass UAV attacks.
