High-Precision Systems holding has delivered a next batch of fighting vehicles to the public sector customer. These are BMD-4M airborne assault vehicles and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles with additional protection systems. The vehicles were made by Kurganmashzavod.
The additional protection includes enhanced armoring kits and slat armor. In addition, the vehicles are equipped with the Nakidka caps — thermal and radio signature reduction kits made of a fire-resistant material. This improves survival of the vehicles in combat conditions.
“More than 80% of weapons used in the special military operation zone are made by our manufacturers. These are artillery and flamethrowing systems, air defence systems, UAV, small arms, munitions and certainly armored vehicles, for example, infantry fighting vehicles and airborne assault vehicles. For nine months of 2024, Kurganmashzavod included in High-Precision Systems holding increased the output of infantry fighting vehicles and airborne assault vehicles by 20% compared with the same period of the previous year. The facility woks at high production rate, some shops work on a 24/7 basis just as many Rostec’s companies. Thus, the state defence procurement program is fulfilled efficiently, at high quality level and within the established time frame,” said Bekhan Ozdoev, member of the Board of the Russian Mechanical Engineers Union, Industrial Director of the Weapons Cluster of Rostec State Corporation.
