AmberForum’25, the 8th International Amber Forum, organized by Rostec’s Kaliningrad Amber Combine has been completed in Moscow. For the first time in its history the forum was held in the capital and attracted more than 30,000 visitors, including industry experts, investors, collectors, designers and foreign visitors.
Amber trade show, that took place during the forum, was the point of attraction for a wide audience. Forty manufacturers demonstrated 100,000 pieces of jewelry and souvenirs made of Baltic gems. Visitors highly appreciated the product range, original design and performance. About 70% of products brought to the forum were sold during four days of the trade show.
“Processing factories created new product collections specially for the forum. Ninety percent of the products showcased in Moscow have never been exhibited before. Sales at the forum have shown that Russian amber gained great attention at home and abroad. It is our goal to support this interest. We place our stake on technology, design and direct communication with new markets,” pointed out Mikhail Zatsepin, General Director of the Kaliningrad Amber Combine.
The world’s only rare amber auction was also held during the forum and took place in Moscow for the first time. Unique items, including natural gemstones and fossil inclusions, generated a lot of buzz. Forty one out of fifty lots were sold with final prices several times as high as the starting ones. Collectors and companies from Russia, Kuwait and Hong Kong participated in the auction.
Premiere of the Russian Soul fashion collection was one of the most unforgettable events at the forum. A catwalk show of clothing with amber items was first organized at the forum and the Baltic gems were presented as a modern ornamental and cultural symbol.
