The Kalashnikov Concern, Rostec State Corporation, has summed up the results of 2022. During the previous year, the Kalashnikov fulfilled 45 state defence procurement contracts and 24 military and technical cooperation contracts, and provided the scheduled production engineering services under one contract.    These are the largest contracts in the company’s history.

For mastering mass production of new military and civil products, the Kalashnikov has output the first batch of 7.62x54mm Chukavin sniper rifles that surpass the performance of the products fielded with the Ministry of Defense and other law enforcement agencies.

Moreover, in 2022, the Concern launched the production of 5.56mm AK-19 assault rifle, 9mm PPK-20 submachine gun, Saiga-9 sporting self-loading carbine with EVO stock components and TR3 sporting self-loading carbine with EVO stock components.

In general, the weapon manufacturing division has set a record over the previous 20 years – the output of combat and commercial small arms was by 40% higher than in 2021.

The tool-making division has also increased the finished-product output by 8% compared with the previous year.

The volume of output of the machine-tool manufacture division has become equal to the total output over the three previous years from 2019 to 2021. This included screw-cutting lathes, special-purpose equipment, spindle units, in particular, two new CNC products: Swiss type turning machines and vertical milling machines. Commercial work share increased from 31% in 2021 up to 51% in 2022.
