Rostec has Completed the Contract for Supply of Eight Mi-8MTV-1s for Gazprom Avia

Russian Helicopters holding has delivered two Mi-8МТV-1 helicopters to Natspromlizing-Invest and, thus, completed the contract for supply of eight rotorcraft of this type. The rotorcraft will be delivered to the Tomsk and Samara branches of Gazprom Avia.

The Mi-8MTV-1s have high performance, may be used at temperatures from -50°C to 50°C on a 24/7 basis and deployed independently on non-instrument helipads. Each rotorcraft cabin has 20 passenger seats that can be used for transportation of oversize loads up to 4 tons for which an external sling is provided.

The Mi-8MTV-1 features high safety, cost-effectiveness and easy maintenance. For special missions, each helicopter may be furnished with additional fuel tanks, flashlights, night vision, emergency ditching and wire strike protection systems, particle separators, weather radars, medical and other equipment.

“The Mi-8MTV-1s are highly demanded and useful: They are easily transformable to cargo or passenger version and may be used not only to deliver shift teams to oil and gas facilities and monitor gas lines, but also to carry passengers and luggage, perform air ambulance tasks and other types of aircraft operations. The airline fleet includes a total of 80 various modifications of helicopters from the Mi-8 family,” said Anton Korolev, Deputy General Director of Civil Rotorcraft Sales of Russian Helicopters holding.
