This is the first time Rostec has presented a cutting-edge parachute system family in the Middle East. The Russian exposition at the Dubai Airshow 2023 demonstrates a wide range of products – from special-purpose parachute systems to cargo and vehicle delivery systems.
Exhibitors and visitors will see Dalnolet and Berkut-2 special-purpose parachutes. The former is designed to air drop special units of law enforcement agencies with a necessary personal equipment kit. The latter enables air dropping from all types of aircraft. A wing type parachute ensures air dropping of individual paratroopers as well as of a group of paratroopers.
Two container systems – UGKS-50 and SKG-50 designed for cargo delivery by paratroopers – are also demonstrated at the Russian exposition. The former is designed to secure cargo with a total weight up to 50 kg for air dropping from altitudes up to 10 km. The cargo is secured at the front of the paratrooper and the system may be used as a backpack after landing. The cargo container weight is max. 4 kg. The latter, in turn, allows a paratrooper to be air dropped together with cargo with nonstandard geometry and weight up to 50 kg from altitudes up to 10 km.
In addition, Rostec presents Tandem-400 special-purpose tandem parachute system in Dubai. The system may be used to perform special-mission training jumps from altitudes up to 8 km.
The oversize cargo delivery parachute family includes Yunker-DG-250 robotic system. The system ensures precision target landing due to the use of satellite navigation signals (GLONASS), touchdown accuracy in standard weather conditions is about 100 meters.
