Kalashnikov will first showcase an advanced joint development project of Kalashnikov Concern and Izhevsk Unmanned Systems Research and Production Association: the small-class and medium-class KUB-2-E guided loitering munition — at the IDEX 2025 International Defence Technology Exhibition to be held on 17 - 21 February in Abu Dhabi (UAE).

The small-class KUB-2-E system is designed to kill enemy personnel (including individual soldiers) and soft-skinned vehicles.

The medium-class KUB-2-E has a wider application range: It is designed to attack enemy personnel, UAV system launch sites, helicopter bases, soft-skinned and light armored vehicles.

The guided loitering munitions are maneuverable and equipped with optical-electronic systems to enable operators to direct the munitions to targets even when location of the latter has changed.

Both munitions are heavier than 10 kg. They may be used during the day and at night, in favorable and adverse weather conditions, smoky and dust-filled atmosphere, at a surface wind speed of up to 15 m/s, with passive and active jamming occurring in the battle field; and in the ambient (surface) temperature range from −40 to +50 °C.
