Rostec is demonstrating its latest achievements in aircraft engineering, engine building and other industrial sectors at the International RUSSIA EXPO at VDNH. The participants and guests of the event may “assemble” their own aircraft, find Baltic amber in an improvised quarry and become a pilot of Mi-8 utility helicopter. Rostec’s products are shown at the regional stands and ‘Made by Us’ pavilion.

An immersive 360-degree panoramic cinema has been built for this large-scale event and shows Russia’s key industrial achievements within a whole “industrial trip”. The audience can trace the entire new technology creation chain from an engineering center where an idea is born to final production. The movie shows the latest Rostec’s products such as MC-21 medium-range passenger aircraft, PD-24 engine, BAS-200 cargo delivery UAV, Ansat light utility helicopter and Jupiter-30 unmanned dump truck.

The exhibition visitors are also able to feel like real aircraft designers of the Il-115 and MC-21. The “Aircraft Assembly” interactive game has been designed by Rostec’s United Aircraft Corporation team specifically for the forum. The game allows you to “assemble” an air liner body using a joystick: chose nose, center and tail sections as well as a wing and propulsions.

Moreover, the guests of the event, who are interested in aviation, may see the models of Russian SJ-100, МС-21 and Il-96, SU-57 fifth-generation fighter and Il-76MD-90A airlifter at various regional stands.

At the RUSSIA EXPO, Rostec also demonstrates GTD-110M high-power gas turbine made by United Engine Corporation. The first commercially available engine has been already delivered to HPP Udarnaya in Krasnodar Krai and will soon supply electricity to the south of Russia.

The Kaliningrad Region stand includes an interactive amber quarry model where anyone can mine using a controlled mini-excavator, sieve and keep as a souvenir a piece of prehistoric ‘Baltic Gold’. At this point, 90% of world amber reserves are concentrated in the Kaliningrad Region and Yantarny settlement is the only place in the world where the “sunstone” is mined by the pit-and-quarry method on a commercial scale.

The International RISSIA EXPO is held from 4th November 2023 to 12th April 2024 at VDNH. All Russian regions have their expositions showing their key technology, social, cultural and sports achievements. Visitors can participate in large-scale cultural, business and education programs.
