UEC-Engineering of United Engine Corporation and Petróleos de Venezuela, Sociedad Anonima (PDVSA) have signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of power-generating gas turbine and gas-pumping equipment supply, maintenance and repair. The document involves cooperation in delivery of gas turbine units and modernization of gas field power supply and gas transport facilities.
“UEC’s high performance and reliable gas turbine units have proved their competitiveness in the Russian domestic market and are very popular abroad. We offer state-of-the-art gas-pumping and power-generating equipment to our partners to ensure electric power supply to oil and gas fields and modernization of the obsolete and out-of-service equipment made by European and American manufacturers,” said Andrey Vorobiev, General Director of UEC-Engineering.
The memorandum of understanding has been signed by P. Tellechea Ruiz, Ministrer of the People's Power for Oil and Mining of Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Andrey Vorobiev, General Director of UEC-Engineering, on 16 October 2023 during the 17th high-level meeting of the Venezuela-Russia Intergovernmental Commission in the presence of Aleksander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
